C.N.A. Application Process

Applicants must complete and submit a Nurse Assistant application, non-refundable registration fees, physical exam form and Live scan (fingerprints) with fees to be considered for admission to the NATP.

Admissions Procedure

Applications may be obtained at ICAN school office or on the website. The application must be submitted, after completing all required documents (as stated in the application process) and fees must be paid before the start of classes. Payments can be made in two ways: Pay in full or pay a deposit, with the remaining balance due one week before classes begin.

State Certification Requirements

All students are required to meet the state and program requirements for 60 hours of theory and 100 hours of clinical attendance. The CDPH requires a valid social security number for certification and can be reached at (916) 327-2445 for your questions or any other concerns regarding program qualifications.

Requirements for Eligibility to admission to the NATP

  1. Must be at least 16 years of age
  2. ICAN Application on file and eligibility to attend
  3. Admission Assessment Exam and demonstrate 6th grade reading knowledge

Disclosure of Social Security Number/Tax ID Number

If you fail to disclose your social security number or tax/ID number, your application for initial or renewal certification will be delayed or rejected.
